Lyrics

Kathrine says she loves the fall,
The way it comes and goes, and all
It triggers good thoughts,
Though few and far between
She says she’s tired of boys that smoke,
She quit some time ago,
For her kid, who’s dad,
Doesn’t know his name

But it’s not on her mind,
The past isn’t where she spends her time,
Only the future and what she’ll find

Kathrine doesn’t like her job,
Working retail in a strip mall,
But she’s hopeful,
That something better will come along
When she doesn’t know what to say,
She bites her lip and looks away,
It’s a habit she pickup,
From her younger days

But it’s not on her mind,
The past isn’t where she spends her time,
Only the future and what she’ll find
And she knows she’ll be fine,
If she takes one day at a time,
And keeps her place in line

So Kathrine says,
I’ve spent my life wasting time,
But I wouldn’t trade what I’ve got,
I wouldn’t change a thing
